Mentioning some further details on the Vintage show, a schedule for the rest of the year, plus more.

More, Re: The Florida Rumble

Here are some things from the Florida Rumble show that I should have mentioned in the review for that show but stuff happened and I’ll be talking about it here.

• Shooter Storm was in this match. That alone is noteworthy, but note that he somehow snuck up and eliminated both Snow and Joey Saint! They illegally came into the ring and eliminated poor Storm; don’t ask me why they did that heelish thing or, for that matter, why Saint and Snow were suddenly working with each other after having a match but an hour or so before.
• Shoot Fight Steve… if this isn’t a new guy trained at the training center by Jared David St. Laurent and the other trainers there… I wouldn’t bet my life savings on it but this *has* to got to be something that relates to him. It’s a no-name who says he recently moved to this state and bashed everyone in the state for being homosexuals and yada yada yada. He was in the Rumble and he was a little pipsqueak who was totally nondescript in every which way and who only lasted like 2 minutes in the match! The entire character and everything he said online, it HAS to be one of MSL’s angles, meaning that it won’t draw a dime, it’s totally pointless, and it’s basically him masturbating and thinking he’s a total Machiavellian genius who fools everyone all the time while in actuality he’s a very sick man in the head and he needs to be locked in a mental institution for the rest of his life. Like everything else he does, this won’t draw money and it’s a waste of everyone’s time. Why not do something more productive rather than bullshit like that stupid character? I’d say, how about he worries about himself NOT driving his friends to drink until the point of stupor on a daily basis and making them so stressed out they eat Xanax?
• On a lighter note, before the show, one of the songs that you got to hear over the low-rent sound system was… Bobby Brown’s “Humpin’ Around”? Yes! While I don’t think it’s that appropriate for a religious place like the Salvation Army building, it still made me laugh as I haven’t heard that song in years.
• Sad to say, Nic The Destroyer was not in attendance at this event. Imagine the thought of him getting in the ring at intermission to pin Mr. Milo Beasley. Nic may have gotten a little too excited and laid the boots to Milo or delivered a big splash, but I know that would have been a great moment for good old Destroyer.
• One person who did pin Milo, though, was a young fan who had to get around in a wheelchair. He was carried to the ring and the three count was made, and everyone who saw it applauded, as it was a very nice heartwarming moment to see. After that, for the cameras, Sinn Bodhi and Titan (i.e. Bishop Cross and several other names) did a promo with the kid, which was also a great moment.

I think I got everything mentioned from that show that I needed to say.

Apathy

The apathy I’m talking about is the local messageboards. I just don’t really look at them anymore. I mean, why bother? It’s a bunch of bitchy arguing, people involved in a fed (Vintage) sniping at each other, that lard-ass “I’m going to die by the age of 30 due to a heart attack because of my slovenly ways” David Butthill doing his usual act to please his Lord and Master, Jared David, and other idiocy, and I’m finally tired of it and I can’t be bothered with most of it anymore.

My Schedule For The Rest Of Year

Here’s a tentative schedule for the rest of the year. I’m sure it’ll change before too long and I’ll see more than I’m listing here, but for the time being…

November7: WXW in Leesburg. It’s at a new building that they’re running there. I’ll check out MSL’s favorite fed as hey, I have nothing planned for that day.

November 14: WXW in Minneola. It’s an Elite 8 ladies wrestling tournament that WXW has done for years now, starting up in Pennsylvania and now in Florida. The 8 dames are: Sarona Snuka, Lace, Rain, Leva, Betsy Ruth, Kimberly, Rain, and Jennifer Blake. I already know which wrestling photographer will be in attendance for this show!

November 20-21: The 2009 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, Night 1 in Brooksville and Night 2 in Crystal River. This post gives all the details on the weekend and the wrestlers involved. I’ll be honest, I haven’t even heard of some of the guys in the tournament, much less seen them, but I’ll go into it with an open mind and no matter what it’s for a great cause so I’m sure I’ll enjoy the weekend.

The only other show I am pretty sure I’ll be at is FIP’s event in Crystal River on December 12th. I don’t know what else I’ll be seeing in December, as my schedule is up in the air and I may be spending some time out of Florida that month. I certainly won’t be at Frank Goodman’s show on the 5th… if it actually happens, that is. You know it’ll be the typical disaster from that roided-out goof with the giant HGH-filled gut, especially without the aid of MikeWG and Josh Rich (boy, don’t they find the greatest people to hang out with? I think Goodman is even more mentally ill and unstable than MSL is!).

Final Tidbits

Last week I was watching USF’s football game in Tampa against West Virginia and late in the game there was a crowd shot and I swore I saw Roderick Strong in the crowd, wearing a bright green shirt and standing by a shirtless guy I didn’t recognize who flexed for the camera. If it wasn’t him, then it was someone who looks like Roddy’s doppelganger.

To copy and paste something from my latest MySpace blog: “On Mister Saint Laurent’s messageboard, Jared David himself brought up something I mentioned recently elsewhere and whined about it, because I was too mean to him or whatever, and other people got mad and butthurt about it. That’s par for the course, but one guy did mention something that was dumb, but it made me laugh. He said that if MSL poured a shot on his chest and I did a bodyshot off of him, that I’d be pals with him! I swear, that’s what he said. I’d rather drink bleach than perform that act with him, but like I said it made me laugh. I haven’t done any bodyshots at all, come to think of it. Maybe that’ll change sooner or later…”

Anyhow, I’ll be back by Monday night (hopefully) to review the WXW show in Leesburg. Before anyone asks, I will tape the Strikeforce show on CBS and watch it sometime after I get back. Getting to see Fedor fight (somewhat) live for the first time will be fun.

Pro wrestling fusion returned to the Ft pierce pal center on Dec.19 and boy what a show! As far as a crowd it was a little bleak, not to many people showed I think it was because WWE was doing a show in west palm that same night. For the 150 people…
