2009 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, Night Two In Crystal River, November 21th, 2009

As always, the opinions stated here only belong to me and not necessarily to anyone else. A few days late, I hope this review isn’t considered a few dollars short. Before I get to the review, I’d like to mention what I alluded to in the Night 1 review. The past few months have stressed me out. Between stuff that I’ve mentioned before (the issue with the credit card, which at least was fixed, my grandfather passing away) and other things (like me being bothered more than usual that I am… Continue

2009 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, Night One In Brooksville, November 20th, 2009

As always, these opinions only belong to me and no one else. I sat next to Santa Claus at this show. That’s right, Kris Kringle. Don’t Stop Believin’ me now. As always, the weekend of the Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup is an exciting time in the Florida indy scene and it’s something that I look forward to each and every year. I’ve attended all of them except for the first one in 2003 (and I saw the tournament matches and some of the other bouts on DVD in 2004) and it’s fun times for a great… Continue

WXW in Minneola, November 14th, 2009

As always, this opinion belongs only to me. Not that long of a show, but it does feature the antics of the guy known now to some as “Dee-Sawyer”. Before I get to talking about this event, I have to mention that when I got home from this event, I was shocked when I got online and saw the news that Brock Lesnar is seriously ill with something or another. He collapsed while in Canada last week and all I know from scuttlebutt is that he doesn’t have AIDS or cancer but it’s still an ailment… Continue

WXW in Leesburg, November 7th, 2009

As always, this opinion only belong to me, and does not necessarily reflect the opinion of anyone else. Most likely the only time you’ll see me compare a manly man like Brett Rogers with someone like Mister Saint Laurent. Before I get to talking about the show, I have to mention that Byron Saxton (i.e. Michael Cade in places like SCW, and real name Bryan Kelly) being an ECW announcer now as he has been for the past few weeks is pretty awesome, having met him in person more than once and… Continue

Blair’s Soliloquies, Issue Forty-One

As always, these opinions only belong to me and no one else. Mentioning some further details on the Vintage show, a schedule for the rest of the year, plus more. More, Re: The Florida Rumble Here are some things from the Florida Rumble show that I should have mentioned in the review for that show but stuff happened and I’ll be talking about it here. • Shooter Storm was in this match. That alone is noteworthy, but note that he somehow snuck up and eliminated both Snow and Joey S… Continue

Vintage Wrestling in Sanford, October 24th, 2009

As always, this opinion only belongs to me. I gripe about some local stupidity, then regale you with the tale of me pinning Mr. Milo Beasley. Since the last time I wrote here early this month, I did have the opportunity to write about a few things, but I just haven’t felt like it; you know, I had a feeling of malaise about most of it. I’ll still briefly mention the stuff that comes to mind now: • A woman on the Florida Wrestling Fans board started a thread about how she promoted a show… Continue

FIP in Crystal River, October 3rd, 2009

As always, this review features the opinion of only me. Featuring an increase in references to Care Bears. (Written Before The Show) I don’t really have anything to say about this promotion before the show, except that I’m excited for the show, so I’ll talk about another fed here instead. In the past few days there has been much controversy concerning a thread about WXW and its policies. From what’s been presented I’m certainly surprised by some of it, but nothing’s been said from the… Continue

WXW in Minneola, September 26th, 2009

As always, this blog contains my opinion and does not necessarily represent the opinion of anyone else. A rather out of the ordinary review, but that’s for a very valid reason. This won’t be the usual review from me. The reason why is very significant. To do some copying and pasting from my MySpace blogs The main thing is something that came out of the blue. In the past I know I’ve talked about my grandfather, who is in his late 80’s now. ForContinue

Vintage Wrestling in Sanford, September 19th, 2009

As always, this is my opinion and no one else's. It’s a shame that some people have to be so petty. I’ll explain in the body of the review just what I’m talking about, for those of you not there at the show. (This part is written on Tuesday afternoon right before I posted this. I apologize for this being up so late but stuff happened the past few days and I wasn’t able to do this and other times I didn’t feel like doing this. My apologies.) I wasn’t sure how attendance would be as bes… Continue

Blair’s Soliloquies, Issue Forty

As always, these opinion belong to me and no other person, necessarily. A shorty, but a goody. The End Of An Era, In Several Different Facets Of My Life? I apologize for this being up week later than planned, but I’ll address that a little later, along with the wrestling discussion. Before I get there, though, the non-wrestling (turkey?) talk. Remember how I mentioned in the last thing I wrote that Josh Rich mentioned “my life was ruined” and “I would never go there again” afte… Continue

Pro Wrestling Fusion in Temple Terrace, September 5th, 2009

Let’s Do The Time Warp Again. This weekend has made me think that I went back in time to the year 2006. It was that year where I feuded with J.P. Gilbert over him being a dumbass troll (not that I’m the only one who felt that way), I stopped trying to get along with the toadies, and feds like the EWE were around with characters like Bobby Buthol (pronounced “Boot-hol”, but everyone says it’s actually “Butthole”!) and Uncle Grady. Well, after this weekend I feel like I time traveled in Doc Brown… Continue

Vintage Wrestling in Sanford, August 29th, 2009

As always, these opinions belong to me and no one else. Same shit, different name. (Written Before The Show) I had quite the stressful day on Friday. Amongst other things, I discovered that the reason why MySpace (I mean, any page on it, including my own, the login page, and the page you get once you log in) wouldn’t work for me properly was because my own ISP (BrightHouse Networks, those rat bastards!) was doing it, for God knows what reason. I found this out after using a proxy websi… Continue

Pro Wrestling Fusion in Daytona Beach, August 22nd, 2009

As always, these opinion belong to me and not necessarily anyone else. I’m “a blatant homosexual” who “gets swing dances”? Before I get to talking about the show from Pro Wrestling Fusion, the first one I’ve seen from them since last September, I have to talk about what I’ve done from Friday night up to Saturday night and this event. Friday night I decided to go to the theatre they have in downtown Orlando (the Plaza Cinema Café) to watch… Continue

Blair’s Soliloquies, Issue Thirty-Nine

Sumo wrestling, feelings of malaise, and lazy people stealing my material. The Trip Finally I have the time to do one of these. I returned from my trip real late Wednesday night the 12th. If you want to read a detailed recap of how the trip went, read my MySpace blog here. Make sure to make note of the entry where I talk about not updating my music blogs anymore, but instead starting up a new blog on Blogspot where I talk about movies and if you d… Continue

Blair's Soliloquies, Issue Thirty-Eight

As always, these opinions are my own and don't necessarily belong to anyone else. Featuring my new trip plans, the second half of the list, and also includes an appearance by Josh Rich & his 57 cats. Jumping Into The Pool Right Away I’ll keep this short and sweet. I was going to leave yesterday on my trip to Illinois but complications beyond my control happened so I’ll be leaving on Sunday instead, so I WILL be attending FIP on Saturday *but* I will not do a show review of t… Continue

ASW in Spring Hill, July 18th, 2009

As always this is just my opinion; that's it. The slap heard around the world… or at least Spring Hill. Before I get to the review of this ASW event, I obviously need to address something quickly. Since I posted my review of the last Vintage show and I was asked if it was ok if it got posted on Vintage’s website (I said yeah, as what was the harm in it; besides, I’ve come across cases of people copying and pasting parts of my reviews onto their w… Continue

Vintage Wrestling in Sanford, July 18th, 2009

As always, these opinions are my own and no one else's. Filled with entertainment, including David Tuthill jokes. The first time I saw a Vintage show I saw some action I enjoyed, sure, but due to various reasons I left that event with not the best opinion of everything; after THIS Vintage Wrestlingshow, though, I ended up having a much higher opinion on what I saw, despite a scar… Continue

Blair's Soliloquies, Issue Thirty-Seven

As always, these opinions only belong to me and don't necessarily reflect the opinion of anyone else on this site. I’ll unveil the first half of the list of the best matches I saw this year so far, but before then, I have to discuss a few people… Before The List Yes, I’ll be discussing an always popular topic with me… Mister Saint Laurent and his Toadies! For now, the individual known as Josh Rich; whether or not you want to call him Josh, Joshua, Mr. Orange Pants, or whatever,… Continue

WXW in Minneola, July 11, 2009

As always, these opinions only belong to me and don't necessarily reflect the opinion of anyone else on this site. Gene Snisky danced to Michael Jackson; what else do I need to say to make you want to read the entire review? I knew right away that this was going to be an interesting night, with this WXW show immediately followed up by seeing UFC at a local establishment in Clermont. It turned out to be a night filled with a lot of fun. I know t… Continue

Blair’s Soliloquies, Issue Thirty-Six

As always this is my opinion and no one else's. Computer problems and exposing the idea of large moving ice mass in an enclosed structure. I do apologize for this going up a few days later than expected but a bad sense of circumstances happened to me. Mainly, the cheap computer I bought Thanksgiving Eve due to problems with the old computer broke down on me suddenly. The plan was always to get a better computer in the summer; well, because of this, I ended up having to get one sooner th… Continue
